The Mini Invasion Returns: Can-Am Mini Challenge Announces Premier 2027 Race at Historic Mosport

BOWMANVILLE, ONTARIO – The legendary roar of the A-series engine is headed north. The Can-Am Mini Challenge Race is thrilled to announce its premier 2027 event, set to take place over Father’s Day weekend, June 2027, at the world-renowned Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (Mosport).

In a move that celebrates the cross-border heritage of the series, organizers are officially “putting the ‘CAN’ back into the Can-Am” by returning to one of the most historic and challenging road courses in North America.

A Partnership of Speed and Tradition

The 2027 Challenge will be held in sanctioning partnership with the Vintage Automobile Racing Association of Canada (VARAC), serving as a specialty race grid of the 47th running of the Vintage Grand Prix. This collaboration ensures that competitors will experience track management at its finest while participating in one of the most prestigious vintage racing weekends on the international calendar.

“We are delighted to have secured both a world-class sanctioning club and a legendary venue for our next major gathering,” said John Wittenauer, Event Chair of the Can-Am Mini Challenge. “Mosport isn’t just a historic site; it is a superb Mini track that rewards precision and great car handling. It is the perfect stage for our next event.”
